How animals can become a part of our democracy

This initiative paper by Animal Society aims to inspire campaigns and civil society to demands a political representation to animals in our democracy. The authors bring together practical and theoretical reasons for a reorientation of politics. They present three reform steps: a federal commissioner for animal protection, a ministry with animal protection in its name, and an enquiry commission.
